Day 5: Veg Out Vegan

8:00 am - Banana and cashew butter. Never gets old!

9:30 am - Debate whether to get coffee with coconut milk or not. Decide no since I went to the gym this morn and drank a ton of water which means I will have to pee every 20 mins for the next 2 hours. Not conducive to sitting through an honors lecture.

9:35 am - Speaking of, today I have my climate change honors seminar (part of reason I started this whole thing anyway!) Ann (the legit vegan in this sitch) and I are determined to bring up the whole why-has-animal-agriculture-not-been-addressed yet in class but we also fear it might start a bit of an inter-class war.

9:45 am - We go for it anyway. Prof is not pleased. He keeps insisting agriculture is not a big contributor to fossil fuel emissions. Thankfully we have some good sound-bite stats on our side plus another die-hard vegan (shout out to Julia) so we manage to press him on it throughout class. At the end, Prof asks what people have learned from the lecture and the only people end up talking about is animal agriculture and its impacts on climate change. WIN.

12:00 pm - Lunch with former coworker at Boston Beer Works! Despite being a very typical burger and beer joint, they actually have a surprisingly delicious veggie stir-fry!

2:30 pm - Afternoon lull sets in HARD despite it being a Friday. Decide to veg out instead of doing anything productive. Consume an entire bag of animal crackers (a delightful food that is both vegan and animal-related) and watch Netflix instead of doing work.

6:00 pm - Still feeling full from the animal crackers so make a small dinner of stir-fried vegetables with ginger garlic sauce.
